It was back in 1960, that Thetford transformed the leisure market once and for all with the very first camping toilet. In the following years, Thetford introduced numerous innovations aimed at holiday comfort.

You may be familiar with the first mobile toilet 'the Porta Potti'. Then there was the first Cassette Toilet and the first toilet entry in the care products series. Many solutions for mobile sanitary equipment followed. In 2008 and 2010 the Cassette Toilets C-250 Ceramic and the C-500 were even awarded with the major German Caravanning Design Award, presented by the Caravan Salon in cooperation with the famous Red Dot design agency. And like this, many things have developed over 50 years, except Thetford's position as an expert in the field of mobile sanitary equipment.
